Alpha Release of Symfony 2.0
Everybody in Symfony communities all over the world is looking forward to Symfony Live Conference that is going to take place in Paris, France. It’s undoubtedly a significant event in the Symfony world, a good opportunity to meet the core Symfony team, share the experience and get acquainted with prospect customers or partners.
But not only this makes the Conference long-awaited. Fabien Potencier, a founder of Symfony Framework, will announce alpha release of Symfony 2.0 on the last day of the Conference. The participants will learn about updated features in the new version of the framework firsthand.
It remains to guess what advantages the new version will have over the previous ones, but it’s already known that the main goals of this alpha release were to make the framework faster, smarter and more flexible. The new version will introduce new concepts and will contain new components: Dependency Injection Container, Templating Framework and Controller Handling. Some components such as Event Dispatcher and Form Framework have already been merged into Symfony 1.0.
According to Fabien Potencier, version 2 will be 7 times faster than version 1, making Symfony the fastest PHP framework around.
In order to keep up with the latest updates in the Symfony world, keep track of the news in our press-room.
