Code’n’Coffee Meetup in Minsk
Code’n’Coffee is a meetup of Symfony developers that has already become traditional in Minsk. The first event took place in December 2010 in one of city cafes and gathered about 6 people. It defined the need of creating Symfony community in Belarus.
This week Meloge was hosting unscheduled Code’n’Coffee meetup in its new office in Minsk. The event took place on Saturday, January 15. There were about 10 attendees: Symfony developers, project managers, and technical directors – all with advance technical and practical knowledge of Symfony.
This time the topic of interest was Symfony 2. The discussion was focused on bundles, Doctrine 2 first stable release, dependency injection container and other related issues. The meetup also had a coding session dedicated to studying and reviewing Symfony 2 code in a real project.
The attendees also brought up an idea of creating community website (which is going to be built on Symfony 2).
All in all, this meetup was a great opportunity for Symfony developers to meet like-minded fellows, share the experience and discuss Symfony-related topics. It was the second time when Meloge hosted such kind of event. Several month ago Meloge Company organized the broadcasting of online conference “State of Symfony 2” in Minsk.
