Symfony Live Conference 2011
The success of the previous 2 Symfony Live Conferences inspired Sensio Labs to organize 2 sister conferences in a row in 2011. For the first time the conferences will be held on 2 continents: the first one will take place in San Francisco and the second one – traditionally in Paris. The San Francisco conference is the evident result of the framework having become so popular among international developers.
The conference in San Francisco will take place on February 8-9th; and the Paris will host its attendees on March 3-4th. Despite the fact that the audience will be international both conferences are going to be held in English, however, there will be a French track during the Paris conference.
The list of speakers is still to be defined, but the main focus will be on the final release of Symfony2. Besides, Fabien Potencier on his blog talks about a possibility to release Symfony2 stable during the Paris conference.
Symfony Live 2011 is a good place to meet and interact with top-notch Symfony/PHP developers and managers working with open source technologies. The organizers promise to provide good communication support, interesting speakers and no less interesting reports.
During two conference days the participants will have the opportunity to discuss real challenges that developers face when building Symfony applications. International experts and Symfony core team will be open for discussion too.
In addition to the regular schedule including a speaking session and a training day, the upcoming conferences will also host free "hacking" days on February 5-6th in San Francisco and on March 5th in Paris. On these days anyone can join developers from over the world and work on Symfony projects together: writing code, fixing bugs, discussing Symfony CMF or PhpBB4 on Symfony2, writing and translating documentation, and much more. The organizers promise to provide free Wi-Fi, pizzas and beer.
It’s the first official Symfony Live conference organized internationally. This is a good opportunity to meet and talk to international experts, sponsors and discuss features included in the second branch of the framework.
